All those Extracurricular Activities...

FCA (also known as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes) is an on-campus student organization. This group of people played a significant role in my feeling accepted into the Carolina community. I have never experienced such a genuine group of Christians in my life. They surround you with warmth and kindness each Thursday night at 8:30pm when we meet in the Blatt P.E. gym.

Most nights, the FCA band begins our meeting with some contemporary praise and worship music. There will usually be a skit that announces an upcoming activity. More music. And then - our speaker. Often times, we hear from an athlete (maybe professional, maybe a Gamecock) who gives us a challenge for that week. I always leave feeling refreshed, encouraged, and ready to face another week.
